Chasing Pure Golf LLC
Privacy Policy
Effective June 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Chasing Pure Golf LLC (“Chasing Pure,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use chasingpure.comand our related services. If anything here isn't clear, email us at hello@chasingpure.com.
1. What Information Do We Collect?
We collect the information you give us when you create an account, post rounds, or contact us. That includes:
- Names and usernames
- Email addresses and passwords
- Contact and authentication data
- Golf scores, course/tee selections, and handicap data
- Gender (used to map your index to the right distribution)
- A device identifier (so anonymous rounds stay with you)
We do not collect sensitive personal information, biometric data, precise geolocation, or employment information. We do not collect payment card data — payments are handled by Stripe (see Section 3).
2. How Do We Process Your Information?
We use your information to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Compute your handicap index and world ranking
- Save and display your round history
- Operate group features and group billing
- Send you transactional email about your account
- Detect abuse and keep the service running
- Comply with legal obligations
3. When And With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?
We share information only with the service providers we need to run Chasing Pure:
- Stripe — handles all payment processing and card data. We never see your card number. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and stored data.
- PostHog — product analytics that tell us which features are used and where users drop off. See posthog.com/privacy.
- Hosting and email providers used to deliver the site and transactional messages.
We do notsell your personal information. We don't share it with advertisers.
4. Do We Use Cookies And Other Tracking Technologies?
We use cookies and similar browser storage (including localStorage) for the essentials: keeping you signed in, remembering your device so anonymous rounds aren't lost, and tracking your free-round usage. We do not use third-party advertising.
We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how users interact with the Service — for example, which features are used and where users drop off. PostHog collects usage data and device identifiers. You can learn more at posthog.com/privacy.
5. How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?
If you sign in with a social provider, we receive only the basic profile information that provider gives us — typically your name, email, and a provider user ID. We use that information to create or match your Chasing Pure account. We don't post anything back to the provider on your behalf.
6. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We keep your information as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we're required to keep it for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons.
7. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
We rely on standard, well-tested protections:
- HTTPS for every page and API request
- Row-level security in Supabase so users can only read and write their own data
- Payments handled end-to-end by Stripe
- Passwords stored hashed by our auth provider
No system is perfectly secure. If you spot a vulnerability, please report it to hello@chasingpure.com.
8. Do We Collect Information From Minors?
Chasing Pure is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email hello@chasingpure.com and we'll delete the account.
9. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
You can, at any time:
- Review the data we have about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your account and the personal data tied to it
- Withdraw consent for optional processing
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@chasingpure.com from the address on your account.
10. Controls For Do-Not-Track Features
Most browsers offer a Do-Not-Track (DNT) signal. Because there's still no industry-wide standard for how DNT should be honored, we don't currently respond to DNT signals. If that changes, we'll update this notice.
11. Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?
If you live in a U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and others), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request a copy, request deletion, and request that we correct inaccurate information. We do not sell personal information and we do not process it for targeted advertising. To submit a request, email hello@chasingpure.com.
12. Do We Make Updates To This Notice?
Yes. When we change this notice we'll update the “Effective” date at the top. Material changes will get a clearer heads-up, typically by email or an in-app notice.
13. How Can You Contact Us About This Notice?
Email hello@chasingpure.com. That's the fastest way to reach us about anything privacy-related.
14. How Can You Review, Update, Or Delete The Data We Collect From You?
You can review and update most of your data from inside your account. To request a full export or to delete your account, email hello@chasingpure.com from the address on your account. We'll confirm and complete the request within a reasonable timeframe.
